FAQs
1. What is the PlugFlex Adapter?
The PlugFlex Adapter allows Nissan Leaf and other CHAdeMO-equipped EV owners to charge at many more rapid charging stations by converting from CHAdeMO to CCS. This opens up a much wider charging network across the UK and Europe.
2. Which cars is it compatible with?
Currently, the adapter works with Nissan Leaf models (2013 onwards) and all other EVs equipped with CHAdeMO charging ports.
3. Will it work with all CCS chargers?
Our adapter is tested with most major UK charging networks, but some chargers may not yet be supported. Check out our Tested Charger List for the specific chargers and brands that have been tested by our community.
4. How do I report a charger that is not compatible?
If you find a charger that doesn’t work with PlugFlex, please let us know via our Charger Feedback Form. This helps us to improve firmware compatibility for future updates.
5. Does my PlugFlex adapter come with the latest firmware?
Yes, all PlugFlex adapters are delivered with the latest firmware preinstalled. That means you can use it straight away without having to worry about doing an update. If you do need to install a new version of the firmware, visit Our Community page for a step-by-step guide.

6. Do I need to charge my adapter before using it?
No. Your adapter will arrive fully charged. It will recharge whenever it is used at a rapid charger, so you should never need to charge it up. If you have not used your adapter in 3-6 months, then you may need to charge it manually.
